Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City partners with Sun Capture to power The City Hub through solar energy.

Dammam, Saudi Arabia, July 12, 2023, Sun Capture and Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City; has signed an agreement to power ‘The City Hub’ building through solar energy, marking it as the first building within the City to be powered through solar power.

The City Hub which is situated on the western side of Riyadh is a key operational program to implement Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City’s purpose. The Hub develops, incubates, invests & grows talents. It provides a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to market and test their products and services within the City’s community. The City Hub also holds networking events, training programs, workshops, and various collaborative opportunities to drive innovation.

The solar project will support the City’s strategy of enabling initiatives, encouraging innovation, and ensuring sustainability and growth.

After installing the solar PV plant on the rooftop of the building, the Solar PV plant’s total peak power is 397 kWp, estimating to offset carbon emissions throughout the plant’s 25-year lifecycle by 12,285 tons.

The City Hub Solar PV Plant marks as the first sustainability project for the City and comes as a testimony to the City’s goal of ushering in the future with innovative solar energy solutions for commercial markets, as well as it’s dedication to supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 aim of energy diversification for a thriving economy.

Building on a heritage of 50 years in the Kingdom’s energy industry, as part of Aljoaib Holdings, Sun Capture will continue bridging the gap between commercial buildings and their access to a full suite of solar energy services.
